Plagues...The Good Side

Plagues and pestilence have been with Mankind for thousands of years. In this recent time of great accomplishments of Man, how is it possible these things still come to haunt us? We seem, collectively, to have come up with solutions and then a different version of the virus manifests itself.

If we go back to Ancient Times, we read within the Holy Bible on things like that happening. But why? According to our Creator, it is because we have strayed from instructions from God.
